Schooner Farms CSA – Sustainably Raised Poultry Share

Our animals are raised hormone and antibiotic~freeand we practice gentle and humane animal husbandrythat allows them to live a stress free, contented and comfortable life. Raised on certified organic grains, green grass, fresh air and sunshine!

Pasture Raised – Organically Fed Chickens & Turkeys for our members only.Chicken & Turkey will both be $5.00/lb dressed weight. There is a minimum deposit of $10 per chicken and $30 per turkey. Balance will be charged on actual weight of finished bird at pick up time. Average weight for Chicken is 3.5 to 4 lbs. Turkey average weight will be between 18 -25 lbs. dressed. The chickens will be raised in small batches of 50 and we’ll have three batches over the season. The Turkeys will be available in mid Oct. Poultry will be processed at a State Certified Facility. We will have 3 “Poultry Day Pick Ups” over the course of the season – all poultry will be fresh not frozen if you pick up on Poultry Pick Up Day, otherwise we will put in our freezers until you are able to pick up.
